Make a Tropical Leaf Wreath

DIY Summer Tropical Leaf Wreath

Summer officially arrives in a matter of days, and you don’t have to go to a far-off beach to get some tropical vibes. You can bring them into your home with this tropical leaf wreath! All types of tropical leaves, from palm leaves to monstera leaves are having a moment in home decor. The best part is that faux tropical leaves can easily pass for the real thing. Oriental Trading sells a variety of faux tropical leaves and I used them to make this wreath for their idea site  Fun365.com.

I love how the tropical leaf wreath looks against the green wall of our guest bedroom. Remember that wreaths don’t have to just go on your front door, they can look just as great indoors on a wall, hung above a mantel, or on an interior door. Instead of keeping the leaves green, I painted them in shades of tropical blues and greens. I love the added dimension created by the different colors and two different types of leaves. You could use any colors you want – even ones not found in nature, like hot pink!

The supplies are simple – here is everything I used! You can find the full supply list here.

Adding some tropical vibes to your decor can be as simple as filling a decorative jar with shells and putting some faux palm leaves in a vase.
