Winter Wonderland Table Decor
Now that we have our new dining room, it’s time to entertain! Introducing my winter wonderland table decor!
One of my all-time favorite things to do for a holiday meal is create a special table setting – one of my first blog posts for Design Improvised was our red and green Christmas table back in 2011. My tablescapes usually come together in the final minutes before the meal. It was no different for my winter wonderland table, I spent a precious free hour yesterday morning while my Hazel was at preschool, pulling different items from around the house and my box of Christmas ornaments.
The table is a mix of snowflake ornaments, bottlebrush trees, and metallic accents. For the place cards, I placed a mini bottlebrush tree (99 cents at Walmart!) on top of a snowflake ornament and added our names on a strip of card stock:
I made a table runner out of a mix of inexpensive snowflake ornaments I’ve collected over the years. Tip – snag some pretty snowflake ornaments during after-Christmas sales. You would be surprised how many uses you will find for them – like my glowing snowflake wreath!
I even repurposed snowflake ornaments as napkin rings. I ran a silver pipe cleaner through a few holes and wrapping it around the back of the napkin.
To finish off the table I incorporated a few larger trees like these modern gold-foiled dipped trees from Minted:
…and these delicate bottlebrush trees from hayneedle.com:
Add sparkle to the backs of chairs with a swag of gold tinsel garland attached with a couple small pieces of tape:
Now I’m excited to put this table to use – maybe for Christmas brunch!
