Make a MOM Crown for Mother’s Day!
DIY Mother’s Day Crown
A crown made just for me out of sparkly pom-poms and pipe cleaners? Yes please! Stella, Hazel and I had fun making these DIY Mom crowns for Mother’s Day. If you’re looking for a handmade Mother’s Day gift that is easy enough for preschoolers to help make, this is a good one! Every mom deserves to be treated like royalty on her special day. 😉 Read on for more details of my latest project with Oriental Trading!
The mom crown was made just by bending pipe cleaners into the shape of letters, wrapping around the base, and embellishing with some pom-poms. This pack of chenille stems includes all the pretty colors we used. Stella learned how to braid as part of the craft. It turns out it is really to braid with pipe cleaners – just tape one end down to the table and start practicing!
I love my mom crown because it includes some of my favorite crafting materials (check out my pom-pom balloons, pom-pom shadow boxes, and pipe cleaner pencils to see what I mean!). More importantly, I love that I got to spend time crafting it with my daughters!
