Turn a Wood Crate into a Plant HolderAugust 10, 2017 | FILED UNDER: Storage Solutions, Accents, Paint
It’s time for the August Supply of the Month Challenge! If you’ve been following along, you know that for the past year I’ve been part of a team of bloggers that creates a new project each month with a surprise supply from Oriental Trading! This month we were given these awesome DIY wood slat crates to play with. I added a coat of paint, a little shiny gold leaf, and some faux leather cording around the handles to turn my crate into a pretty and modern houseplant container!
I love all the wood products that are available on Oriental Trading.com. Often when I am dreaming up new craft projects I like to search “DIY wood” on their website and scroll through all the items just begging for a fun makeover! These wood crates are the perfect size for so many home decor purposes like using them for colorful washi-tape covered book bins.
I put my new plant holder on the console table in our foyer. It looks nice paired with the succulent canvas wall art we made a couple years ago!
Head to Oriental Trading’s blog for the step-by-step wood plant holder tutorial and a full list of supplies. Check out what the other Supply of the Month bloggers crafted up with the wood crates!
