DIY Wood Crate Planter

It’s time for the August Supply of the Month Challenge! This month we were given these awesome DIY wood slat crates to play with. I added a coat of paint, a little shiny gold leaf, and some faux leather cording around the handles. It transformed my crate into a pretty and modern houseplant container!

I love all the wood products that are available on Oriental Trading.com. Often when I am dreaming up new craft projects I like to search “DIY wood” on their website and scroll through all the items just begging for a fun makeover! These wood crates are the perfect size for so many home decor purposes like using them for colorful washi-tape covered book bins.

I put my new plant holder on the console table in our foyer. It looks nice paired with the succulent canvas wall art we made a couple years ago!
