Last Minute Easter Wreath
Easter has really snuck up on me this year. With a week to go, no eggs have been dyed, no menu planned, no Easter baskets purchased, and no decorations to speak of. This afternoon I decided I needed to do something, so after 15 minutes of goofing around with my glue gun I came up with this wreath!
I started with an old forsythia wreath that I’ve had on our door during spring the last 3-4 years. I think I got it on sale at Joanns for $10 or so.
I thought some eggs might add a nice Easter touch, so I stole a few of Stella’s plastic eggs, and found some scraps of ric rac. I wanted to cover up the little line where they open to make them look a little nicer:
I cut strips of ric rac (ribbon would work great too!) long enough to wrap around the egg and then hot glued them on:
I love the extra pop of color from the ric rac and it kind of makes them look like decorated eggs:
Then I just put a big dab of hot glue glue on the back of each egg and pressed them into the inside edge of the wreath. So easy!
