How to Make 4th of July Windsocks
Introducing my simple DIY windsocks! I love seeing neighbors decorate their front porch with patriotic buntings, flags, and red, white and blue accents to celebrate the Fourth of July. At our house, I hang my big fireworks wreath every year, and the girls and I line our sidewalk with mini American flags for the holiday. This summer we’re going to add these fun patriotic windsocks to the mix!
We made these simple DIY windsocks as part of Stars and Stripes Week for Camp Fun and they couldn’t have been easier to make thanks to a few inexpensive supplies like stickers and plastic tablecloths. Yep, that is our secret supply for making them blow in the wind!
The lightweight clear paint cans have a built-in handle, making them easy to hang from your porch. They come in a set of six, you you’ll have plenty to decorate with. In addition to the strips of blue and red tablecloths, we also hung a patriotic garland from the bottom of the cans.
We used foam star stickers to decorate the clear part of the cans. The windsocks turned out so cute, and work great
