Latest Finds from the Randolph Street Market

I’ve been talking up the Randolph St. Market in Chicago lately and was not disappointed on my second visit of the summer during the July market.  I never leave there empty handed and this time was particularly excited about this pair of framed butterfly specimens I scored.  They will go perfectly in the playroom I am dreaming up for Stella and Hazel.

Here are a few other fun finds during my latest trip…

You never know what you’ll find at the market and I love that element of surprise. These pretty swimming ladies are a perfect example.

My sister and I always love checking out the booth by Brimfield, a ‘campy’ home furnishings shop in Chicago.  Every item is awesome and displayed so creatively.  The owner had just recovered this chair with an old quilt.  Perfect for my future lake home!  Love the carefully selected odds and ends displayed in the coffee table as well.

A rainbow of vintage dishware… this is always one of my favorite booths, but I unfortunately didn’t get the name of the vendors.

I’d love to have this refinished vintage desk in my dream office.

This selection of old school yardsticks reminded me of the one my Grandpa Fred (a high school teacher) always kept in the hall closet.

I also got a kick out of these hip ‘retro’ lawn chairs.  We definitely had the exact same ones when I was a kid. 😉
