Randolph St. Holiday Market – My Vintage TablescapeDecember 14, 2012 | FILED UNDER: Uncategorized
Design Improvised readers – if you’re in the Chicago area don’t miss out on the Randolph Street Holiday Market this weekend! They have an amazing selection of vintage finds and unique holiday gifts.
Last month, the folks at Randolph St. Market invited me to put together a table setting of my favorite pieces from their November holiday market. I couldn’t imagine a more fun way to spend a Friday evening – scouring the market for my favorite vintage finds to put on display! Here’s what I came up with:
I always have attended Randolph Market in the summer, and this was my first holiday market. Well, I’ve been missing out! The selection is quite different than the summer, with lots of sweet vintage holiday items to decorate your home with or give as gifts. I loved these little vintage toy cars topped with tiny bottle brush trees from vendors Mark McKee and Linda Boyd.
They had more of those beautiful little trees, and I stole some to use in my display:
There were tables filled with these beautiful vintage ornaments – oh how I would love a tree decked out in these!
These cute little polka dot salt and pepper shakers and matching oil decanter were a must for my table setting. They were from vendor Modern Cooperative – a Chicago mid-century furnishings store that I’m dying to check out after seeing their awesome booth.
Needless to say, I could’ve spent hours finding more things to add to my table setting, but I had to draw the line somewhere. You can check out the great finds from the other bloggers and editors attending on Randolph St. Market’s Facebook page.
My sister and I plan to hit up the market this weekend for a little Christmas shopping. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to find some one-of-a-kind gifts – the market runs Sat. 10am-6pm and Sun 10am-5pm!
