“Upcycling” Old Crayons

So both my mom and mother-in-law strongly advised against covering my dining room table in chalkboard paint, so I’d probably be wise to not go against their advice. ;>) Maybe a little too crazy of an idea. I’ll have to find another solution for my banged up table. In the meantime, here’s an idea my friend Nicole sent me awhile back that maybe I’ll do instead to satisfy my DIY urges!

Stella has just about worn out her first big box of crayons, so rather than throw them out when I replace them, why not ‘upcycle’ them into some monogram art for her bedroom? This would be a fun project to do together with young kids:

All you need is a shadow box, some strong cardboard to cover with decorative paper (I don’t think I’d do the lined paper shown here), and some craft glue
